NCCS Presenting at New York State Summit on Parent Engagement

 
Organized in response to the need to create systemic change throughout New York State, On The Same Page: A Summit for Family Engagement in Education on September 21 in Albany, NY will focus on producing outcomes in support of the NYS Education Department's Implementation Plan for the Regents Policy Statement on Improving Student Achievement and School Performance through Parent and Family Partnerships.
 
Experts from across the state have been invited to participate in the summits to discuss and plan strategic action on family engagement as a catalyst for closing the achievement gap in Title I schools. The Summit is convened by the New York State Parental Information Resource Centers (PIRCs), EPIC-Every Person Influences Children, and the New York State Parent Teacher Association with support from the New York State Education Department.
 
NCCS staff Janice Chu-Zhu and Hersilia Mendez will present at the summit.
