Children's Aid Society Community Schools

The substantial knowledge base for the National Center for Community Schools is drawn extensively from the experience of our Children’s Aid Society community schools in New York City.

The Center provides these sites with ongoing technical assistance, training and professional development on areas including program quality, partnership development and integration strategies. The Center also coordinates many local community engagement and advocacy activities that advance the community school agenda in New York City.

Our schools contribute to the Center’s work by providing our colleagues and clients around the world with opportunities to interact directly with their excellent staff and school partners and to experience first-hand the energy and dynamism of a community school in action.
